Weddings

The estate is yours for the weekend.

One wedding at a time, the run of the gardens, and the wedding party in their own beds. Intimate, unhurried, ours to host with you.

Our promise

A single wedding. A whole estate. A weekend, not an afternoon.

We host one wedding a weekend, and only a handful each year. The estate becomes yours from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning — the meadow, the courtyard, the eaves, the kitchen, every bedroom — without another booking around the corner. The day belongs to you and the people you love most, at the pace you set.

Couples come to Mirande for the same reasons their guests come back as visitors: privacy, slowness, real character, the certainty that nothing is generic. A wedding at Mirande is gathered, not staged.

The weekend

A wedding shaped like a long visit.

The shape below is a starting point. Every couple builds their own version with us; what stays constant is that you'll have the place to yourselves from arrival to departure.

The estate provides tables and chairs for roughly 40 seated guests. A wedding here is gathered, not staged. Couples and their guests notice the difference within an hour.

The venue

Three settings for the same wedding.

The choreography of the day moves through the estate naturally — and weather is rarely the enemy it seems.

Outdoor· Summer favourite

The meadow

The most chosen ceremony spot — a clear lawn framed by old trees, looking back at the château.

Round tables set for a wedding dinner under the beams, stone walls lit warmly.
Covered· Year-round

Under the eaves

The long, beamed space along the south face of the château — the natural home for dinner whatever the weather.

Tables set for an evening wedding reception, candlelight against the old stone walls.
Covered· Intimate

The reception room

The vaulted stone room beside the courtyard — quieter, more contained, particularly beautiful at dusk.

Practical matters

The honest answers, up front.

When can we marry here?
Outdoor weddings run from May through September, with covered ceremonies and dinners possible into the shoulder seasons. Early spring, when the gardens first come back to life, makes a quietly beautiful and less obvious choice.
How far in advance should we enquire?
Twelve to eighteen months is typical for summer Saturdays. Early-spring and shoulder-season dates can occasionally be confirmed within months.
